An educational project by Panos Kasimis

Atelier Bridge is a curated educational initiative centered on photography, photographic thinking and the development of personal creative practice.

The name Atelier Bridge reflects this approach. An atelier is a place of practice, experimentation and exchange; a bridge connects different perspectives, people and places. Together, they describe an environment open to different photographic languages, attentive to individual voices and connected through exchange.

Founded and directed by photographer and educator Panos Kasimis, Atelier Bridge grew from his nearly four decades of experience in photography and photographic education, and from a desire to create a broader framework for learning, exchange and creative development. At its heart is the belief that photography is not only a way of making images, but also a way of observing, thinking, questioning and engaging with the world.

Through workshops, masterclasses, mentoring and collaborative projects in different European cities, Atelier Bridge explores diverse approaches to photography, from photographic vision and critical thinking to visual storytelling and artistic research, in collaboration with photographers, educators and creative spaces.

The emphasis is on learning through engagement. Looking, making, discussing, questioning and editing are treated as interconnected parts of the photographic process, through which ideas can develop and personal perspectives can take shape.

Photography is the starting point. Learning, dialogue and creative development are the journey.
